Engine bay stripped to pull out the engine
Now that the interior and exterior body panels have been removed from the Mustang it's time to pull out the engine for a complete rebuild.

On this weeks show Burf disconnects all the wiring harness and other items connected to the engine and pulls out the radiator ready to lift the engine out.

SPECIAL - How to Change Wheel Bearings
This week we take a step away from the Project Mustang to take an in-depth look at how to change the wheel bearings on a standard trailer or caravan hub. For the average trailer this is something you should look at every few years, but if you do lot's of travelling with your goods trailer, boat trailer or even caravan it worth checking you bearings every year at least. Burf takes us through an in-depth look at how the hub and axle are made, where the bearings are fitted and how to pack grease into the new bearings.

Stripping out the Mustang interior - Part 2
This week the interior is almost totally removed from the Mustang as Burf prepares to remove the engine.
Stay tuned for our next show when the entire engine bay is readied for the smooth 289 V8 to come out.

Almost ready to remove the engine
The interior is now all but fully removed and Project Mustang is getting closer to the tear down of the mechanicals. In this show Burf takes us through part one of removing the major parts of the interior, getting rid of anything that will get in the way for the full soda blasting due to take place in the coming weeks. Just a couple more jobs to do now and then we can remove the engine and start the bodywork.

MORE PANELS COME OFF
This week we've removed the front guards, and while it doesn't sound like much, there’s a heap of parts to remove just to get access to the bolts to remove the guards. Burf enlists the help of his son and Dad to strip the car down so that we can finally get access to the interior before moving to the engine bay.

Project Mustang: 2
It's been very hot and humid in Melbourne and this week we really get things going on Project Mustang by beginning the dismantling process. Burf ropes in his Dad to help remove the bonnet, boot & doors, finding out along the way that a few different nuts and bolts are used to hold this old girl together.
